COH follow-up – Mr. Basso

Last month we had our Court of Honor, which exemplifies the fine work our scouts are doing to achieve both rank advancement and merit badges.  I wanted to reach out to all parents as well as scouts on a challenge we have had when it comes to giving out the badge for the rank of scout.  I want to personally apologize for the miss and realize that there is no way to make up for the impact it causes on the scout.  I understand the effort that goes into these badges and we want to make sure that each and every young man is given the recognition he deserves.

At the next few meetings and or campouts I will spend time to hand out badges for these misses as well as badges for the scouts that were unable to attend.

For now please recognize the following boys for the rank of scout.

  • Caden G.
  • Graham V.
  • Ben R. (also awarded rank of Tenderfoot)

The badge is awarded when the boys demonstrate knowledge of the Scouting ideals such as tying a square knot and knowing the Scout oath, law, motto, and slogan.

Congratulations Scouts.
